The Daniel Barden Mudfest was started in 2012 in honor of lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary on December 14, 2012, and is named for one of the young victims, Daniel Barden. Proceeds to benefit scholarships for 8th graders, who will go on a 10-day, 78-mile canoe and hike in the Adirondacks. In addition, each student will select a charity and we will make equal donations to each of these charities.
